Of the 48 cases against 36 defendants, 33 were traffic-related, seven were alcohol-related, five were for failure to appear in court or contempt of court, two each were for domestic battery and hot-check violations, and one each was for fleeing, disorderly conduct, possession of an instrument of crime, no fishing license, no 'observer on boatwave runner, and obstructing government operations. Imposition of sentence was suspended for three defendants. There were 10 defendants sentenced to jail.

Those cases are reported here: Cheryll A. Cheesman Cock-erline, 55, of Mountain Home, was sentenced to 10 days in jail for contempt of court for nonpayment of fines. Cockerline was assessed court costs of $150. Michael E. Covan, 43, of Godfrey, 111., was sentenced to 90 days in jail for driving while intoxicated, first offense.

Covan was fined $400 and assessed court costs of $300. All but one day was suspended. Rex and Ruby Hanks' name was incorrectly spelled in a July 12 article about sending boxes to troops overseas. He was credited with seven days previously served. Mark Allen Hansen, 24, of Mountain Home, was sentenced to five days in jail for contempt of court for non-payment of fines. Hansen was assessed court costs of $150. Also, Hansen was sentenced to five days in jail for failure to appear in court. He was fined $60 and assessed court costs of $150.

Daniel J. Gaston, 23, of Lake-view, was sentenced to 20 days in jail for violation of a no-contact order. Gaston was fined $110 and assessed court costs of $100. The 20 days were District Court for the city of Mountain Home was July 11 before Judge Van Gearhart. Of the 94 cases against 59 defendants, 57 were traffic-related, 18 were for failure to appear in court or contempt of court, seven were alcohol-related, three were for probation violation, two each were for obstructing government operations and disorderly conduct, and one each was for carrying a weapon, domestic abusebattery, theft, endangering the welfare of a minor, possession of a controlled substance, assault, criminal mischief, and violation of a no-contact order.

Hulen was fined $450 and assessed court costs of $300. AH but three days were suspended. Doug Jerome Beckman, 58, of Mountain Home, was sentenced to one year in jail for endangering the welfare of a minor, second degree. Beck-man was fined $1,010 and assessed court costs of $150.

All but 90 days were suspended. Thirty days may be served by community service. Tammy S. Forrester, 33, of Midway, was sentenced to three days in jail for driving while her license is suspended. Forester was assessed court costs of $75.
