Visitation will be noon to 9 p.m. today at Roller Funeral Home, with family receiving friends 6-8 p.m. A Masonic service will follow at 8 p.m. A funeral, conducted by the Rev. Max Pyron, will be 2 p.m.

Saturday at Roller Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will follow at Baxter Memo Pinkston John H. Morgeson 75 John H. Morgeson 75, of Gamaliel passed away Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2009.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at East Oakland Baptist Church, with Bro. Terry Sharpe and Pastor Roger Creek officiating. Interment will be private. Survivors are his wife, Louise Morgeson, and a host of children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to any U.S. Bank earmarked for the John H. Morgeson Sr. Scholarship Fund. Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.

Circuit Clerk's office Flippin man arrested for theft A Flippin man was arrested Tuesday on a warrant for theft of property. Derek Baker, 25, was charged after an investigation that began after a complaint was filed by the Marion County Sheriff's Office.

In August, the sheriffs office ordered and pre-paid for several sets of tires from Baker. Baker accepted the payment but did not produce the full order of tires, despite being given several chances to produce the remaining tires or repay the money back to the sheriff 's office. He posted $1,500 bail and was released from the Marion County jail. He is scheduled to appear in Marion County Circuit Court on Feb. 11.

The Flippin Police Department is also investigating similar complaints that have been filed against Baker, with further possible charges pending. Mr. Pinkston was born June 4, 1909, in Norfork to Tliomas Jefferson and Zelda Trotter Pinkston. He married Faye Massengale June 12, 1937, in North Little Rock. He retired from McDonnell-Douglas at Long Beach, in 1971. A World War II U.S.

Army field medic, he landed on Normandy Beach during the D-Day invasion. He was a member of Arkansas-United Sons of Confederate Soldiers Association and was the only living son of an Arkansas Civil War Confederate soldier. He was a 32nd-degree Shriner, 33rd-degree Mason and member of Mountain Home Blue Lodge, Alley-White American Legion Post 52 and Order of the Purple Heart. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Faye Pinkston, of Mountain Home; grandson Clinton Greg Pinkston, serving our country in the U.S.

Air Force; and a half-sister, Nettie Pool of Calico Rock. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Gary Pinkston Dec. 26, 2004; a brother, Edward and sister-in-law Fannie Pinkston; one half-brother, Curtis Young; and one half-sister, Lottie Parnell Brinsfield. Memorials are suggested to Shriner Children's Hospital. Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.

He was born April 9, 1920, in Strong to Jessie Bell and Leona Ella Garner Bell and was a member of New London Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and past Sunday school teacher. He retired as a pipefitter from American Oil Co. in 1980 after 30 years. He loved to garden, fish and hunt, and was a great storyteller. Most of all, he loved and enjoyed his family.

Curtis is survived by his wife of 69 years, Ernestine Bell; one son, Eugene Bell and wife Joan of Strong; two daughters, Carolyn Martin and husband Joe of Carlisle and Mary Kirby and husband Elton of Mountain Home; one sister, Daphne Burkett of Dallas; five grandchildren, Lisa and Scott Fife of Parkers Chapel Melissa Martin of Montgomery, Ala, Brian and Jodi Martin of Carlisle and Josh and Lori Boaz and Jennifer Boaz, all of Mountain Home; seven great-grandchildren, Ashley Bell of Monroe, La, Courtney and William Bell of Litroe, La, Jessica, Ethan and Payne Fife of Parkers Chapel and Allie Boaz of Mountain Home; and nieces, nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Elmer Bell; grandson Clarence Bell; and daughter-in-law, Carolyn Bell. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today at New London Baptist Church in Strong. A funeral will be 2 p.m.

Saturday at the church with the Rev. Harold Diffie and the Rev. Rodney Grice officiating.
