(right), was a leader of one of the parenting workshops recently held at Redeemer Lutheran Church. She Is co-director of Helping Hands In Mountain Home. Topics discussed Included "Health and Nutrition for Infants and Toddlers" and "Coping Skills for Parents." According to Lee Beer, spokesman, the church hopes to start a continuing discussion group for young parents. Young, a native of Jonesboro, attended Arkansas State University at Jonesboro and the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, majoring in real estate and finance. Also, Young has attended the following business schools: Basic and Intermediate School of Banking in Little Rock; Trust School in Conway; Income Property Lending and Advanced Income Property Lending in Ft.

Lauderdale, Florida; Asset Liability School in San Antonio, Texas; and Executive Development School at the University of Georgia. Prior to joining Peoples, Young had been president of Federal Savings Bank at Rogers from 1989-1992 and president of Wynbanc Saving of Wynne, AR from 1983-1989. While in Rogers, Mr. Young was very involved in community work. He was a member of the Early Risers Rotary Club, member of the Rogers Industrial Development Corporation (RIDC), foundation member of the Northwest Arkansas Community College, Main Street, an active member in the Chamber of Commerce and attended First Baptist Church.

Young and his wife Debbie have three sons: Philip, Bradford, and Harrison who are very involved in the athletic program in Rogers. Young's responsibilities will include business development, marketing, lending and administration. We welcome our newest addition to our bank.
